Walker Gearing up for JC Mayoral Bid

Commissioner Walker.

Hudson County Commissioner Jerry Walker plans to run for mayor in 2025, according to sources.

It’s happening.

The basketball star and veteran commissioner wants to succeed sitting Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop.

A former candidate for mayor who has bucked Fulop on key issues, Walker has signaled he will be a citywide player in 2025.

Former Governor James McGreevey and Hudson County Commissioner Bill O’Dea are already in the mayor’s contest.
