Watson Coleman Calls for a Ceasefire in Gaza

Watson-Coleman, on the ground.

Today, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12) joined 12 of her colleagues in introducing the Ceasefire Now Resolution urging President Biden to call for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire, to send humanitarian aid and assistance to Gaza, and to facilitate saving as many lives as possible. She released the following statement:

“A shared wish of every parent is a world in which their children can live in peace and security.  Accordingly, I support every effort to de-escalate the violence in Israel and Palestine. This must be a primary focus of our foreign policy. Secretary Blinken must work with his counterparts in the region to call for an immediate ceasefire and delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

“While an immediate ceasefire is essential, we must simultaneously address how we arrive at a lasting peace. Our collective responsibility must be to ensure a two-state solution that recognizes the equal rights and needs of Israelis and Palestinians as well as a commitment to rebuilding homes and communities in Gaza. A lasting peace requires courage and accountability to facilitate. Over the last week, I’ve been horrified by the violence seen in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank. The toll this conflict has taken on innocent Israeli and Palestinian children has been especially heartbreaking.

“I will continue to support every reasonable effort to bring peace to Israel and Palestine and leave our children a world based in peace, dignity, and mutual respect.”

  1. I didn’t notice any politician in the United States calling for a CEASEFIRE with Iraq when we are unmercifully attacked by terrorists on 9/11. I don’t remember politicians worried about the “poor women and children” when we bombed the sh*t out of Baghdad and other cities after 9/11.

Given that the Israelis have lost over 1300 people during the surprise terrorist attack by Hamas, thanks to the Biden Racketeering Administration giving Iran (and by proxy) $6 BILLION DOLLARS in “mad money”, that’s equivalent to the United States losing 50,000 people on 9-11 (based on our respective population percentages).

Congressman Coleman needs to shut up about calling for an immediate de-escalation and ceasefire, to send humanitarian aid and assistance to Gaza, and to facilitate saving as many lives as possible. Palestinian children are taught to hate Israel and Israelis from the time they are able to understand. Taking out Hamas, and most likely Hezbollah, is NOT enough. The Palestinians need to either move to another country or suffer the consequences of the terrorists they allowed to stay and grow in their enclave.

  2. No “ceasefire” when Israeli children were being murdered! Anyone who thinks people who murder innocent civilian men, women and children deserve not to be eliminated from continuing the same ate on the wrong side here…
