Wedding Bells for Jennifer Holdsworth & Stuart Karp

Holdsworth

Following a three-year courtship including a 3 week quarantine with their immediate families, Jennifer Holdsworth and Stuart Karp celebrated their multiple negative COVID tests by tying the knot in a small New Year’s Eve ceremony at a private cottage at the Greenbriar Resort in West Virginia. Only immediate family was present.

The ceremony was officiated by Ms. Holdsworth’s father, a former NJ municipal court judge, recently ordained for the occasion.

Ms. Holdsworth, a Bergen County native, said “I do” in a traditional white Anne Barge Alençon lace and satin ball gown. The bride’s dramatic red lip + medley of colored roses was the joyous splash of color the world needs right about now.

Mr. Karp, a Georgetown grad turned intelligence analyst, wore a suit that was mostly Navy blue with a heaping scoop of cobalt. A grand white rose and a skinny red tie (with a hint of shimmer) competed a sock-less ensemble that was modern, dashing, and subtly patriotic.

Ms. Holdsworth, a top advisor to incoming Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, managed several statewide campaigns in New Jersey including those for Hillary Clinton and Cory Booker. She owns and operates JC Strategies, a national political consulting firm.

The pair, who met just weeks after Ms. Holdsworth’s 2017 move from New Jersey to Washington DC, plan a lavish post-COVID reception with lots of family and friends to celebrate their nuptials and all the other things we’ll be celebrating when we’re together again.

Jennifer and Stuart’s Arlington, VA-based family also includes Toby the tabby, Huckleberry the rescue hound and Bodie, a Rhodesian Ridgeback.
