What Does the Modern American Dream Look Like? A Compelling Conversation on Think Tank with Steve Adubato

Steve Adubato welcomes Batya Ungar-Sargon, Opinion Editor at Newsweek and author of “Second Class: How the Elites Betrayed America’s Working Men and Women,” to examine the modern American Dream and the priorities of working-class voters ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election.

Adubato asks Ungar-Sargon about the term “American Dream” and what it means in 2024. Ungar-Sargon responds, “Living the American Dream means you own your own home, you will be able to retire in dignity, you have access to affordable health care, and your children have at least as many opportunities as you did. That’s it. Educationally, our children have every opportunity, and in their careers, have the same opportunities we did. That’s it.”
