Women for Biden Group Announces Formation

LUPE PAC held its annual reorganization meeting to develop their action plan for 2019-2020 and to elect new officers and executive board members. Laura Matos, general manager of Kivvit, was elected as the new LUPE PAC president.

A growing list of over 80 women from across New Jersey announced today that they are coalescing together in support of Vice President Joe Biden’s Presidential campaign.

NJ Women for Biden, organized by Laura Matos, has come together to show grassroots support and organize on behalf of the Vice President’s campaign. To kick off these efforts, there will be local petition signing drives across the state starting tomorrow.

“Women Democrats across New Jersey have worked with the Legislature and Governor Murphy to achieve important initiatives like equal pay and critical health care funding in our state,” said Matos. “But it has never been more important to get a strong partner in the White House to stop the systematic decimation of women’s rights currently being perpetrated by the Trump Administration. We believe Joe Biden is that partner and we will be organizing events to register voters and help build support to make sure he is the nominee at the Democratic National Convention so that he can defeat Donald Trump in November. We are also confident his candidacy during the general election will help carry our down-ballot Democratic candidates to continue the progress we are making here in New Jersey.”
