Zdan Grabs the Passaic GOP Line
Former News Reporter Alex Zdan will run for U.S. Senate in the GOP Primary with the backing of the Passaic County Regular Republican Organization. Under the leadership of Chairman Peter Murphy and Vice Chairwoman Joanie Walsh, the PCRRO tonight unveiled the Republican candidates for the 2024 elections, featuring a lineup led by Donald J. Trump for President and Zdan for Senate.
For the House of Representatives, the PCRRO chose George J. Song from Paramus to run in CD-5, William Prempeh from Paterson for CD-9, and Joseph Belnome from Belleville for CD-11. Additionally, Passaic County Commissioner Nicolino Gallo will seek re-election, joined by first-time candidates Dr. Assad Mujtaba and William Cytowicz for County Commissioner positions.
Chairman Murphy expressed his confidence in the slate, stating, “With President Trump leading our ticket, Passaic County’s Republican representation is set to embody a dynamic and diverse array of expertise and leadership. Our candidates are not only exceptionally qualified but are also dedicated to serving the interests of all community members with unwavering commitment. They are equipped with the strength, leadership, and proven track records necessary to meet the challenges ahead and deliver positive results.”
This slate, said the chairman, underscores the party’s dedication to presenting a team of candidates who are prepared to address the needs and aspirations of every resident in Passaic County through a blend of experience, leadership, and a commitment to excellence.
An insider noted, with a sense of countywide political titillation, the absence of a sheriff’s candidate for the GOP, as Democrats prepare for an intraparty war.
