Tenafly Mayor Mark Zinna today announced his support for the Democratic slate led by Gordon Johnson in the 37^th Legislative District race.

“In the race for two Assembly seats, candidates Ellen Park and Shama Haider join Senate candidate Gordon Johnson as the most diverse and effective team ever seen in the 37^th District” Zinna said.

“The 37^th District is the most diverse community in the state. Johnson, Park and Haider directly reflect this community.

Gordon Johnson has earned, through hard work and commitment to be our next State Senator in the 37^th.  Assembly candidates Ellen Park and Shama Haider are both leaders in their communities and understand how to move our state forward.”

“Johnson, Park and Haider have dedicated their lives to public service. It is important to elect candidates whose experiences directly reflect the lives of the people they represent. We can’t just talk about diversity and inclusion; we have to act to make it happen.”

Prior to his election as Mayor, Zinna was elected to three terms on the Tenafly Borough Council.
