Speaking directly to CD11 Republican Primary rival Peter DeNeufville’s selection of a slogan, Assemblyman Jay Webber (D-26) said the problem is one of  “authenticity.” 

DeNeufville selected “New Jersey Reagan Republican.”

That irked Webber, whose tenure as Republican State Party Chairman included Reagan orations at state committee headquarters.

 Webber said that DeNeufville and/or his family foundation “have donated money to various left wing causes in contrast to the beliefs of Reagan.”
