Somerset County GOP Chairman Al Gaburo slapped at Hudson Republican Chairman Jose Arango following comments Arango made to InsiderNJ about a mail piece released by Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli (R-16).

“Forgive me if I don’t take political advice from a county chairman who hasn’t come close to winning a legislative or county race or even competing to win during his tenure,” said Gaburo, Ciattarelli’s longtime ally.

In the wake of the mail piece, Ciattarelli’s allies have privately fumed about what they cite as the hypocrisy of Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, who trashes Governor Chris Christie on the trail – only to stand behind an embrasure of allies like Arango who solemnly defend the wounded Republican governor.
