Monmouth County Freeholder Gary Rich won’t pursue reelection, according to a Monmouth source.

Chairman Shaun Golden sat down with Rich last night to tell him the organization is going in another direction and Rich opted out of a fight, the source added.

That leaves veteran Freeholder Lillian Burry in search of a running mate – or herself slated for replacement.
